What is 5G?
4G LTE has brought us much joy. Remember those 3G days? Now that standard has gone up and are used to 4G speed, it is infuriating to see that 3G icon again when we are in a terrible reception area.
Mobile internet speed is about to get even quicker - 5G NR (new radio). In a nutshell, 5G is the next generation of mobile broadband. Here’s a quick rundown.
In America, 4G LTE speed, averages about 5Mb per second. Few providers have already rolled out with more coming this year.
In Indonesia, 4G LTE speed, averages about 5Mb per second. Major cellular providers are rolling out 5G this year.
How much faster is 5G? Ideally, it could reach speeds of 5-10Gb per second. Conservatively, it is about 1Gb per second, if that.
Can everyone get 5G? Mobile devices need to be 5G ready.
