Scanning Features You Should Be Using
There are many features that comes with your scanner - duplex mode, pixel type, bit depth, DPI, and the list goes on. This week we’d like to bring to your attention two most commonly used features that you should be taking advantage of.
Scan to folder & Scan to email
Once set up, you’ll regret not doing it sooner. It’s essentially a one-touch scanning capability.
Scan-to-folder saves the document in a predefined destination. It can be a folder on your computer, server, or a NAS device (short for Network Attached Storage). The best way of doing it is create a folder on desktop and name it “Scans”. Finally update the location to the scanner and give it a name, i.e. “My PC”. In an environment with multiple computers, name them “John PC”, “Conference Room PC”, or up to your imagination to identify the scanner’s one-touch buttons.
Scan-to-email is another popular feature. A pre-saved email address is configured on the scanner. At the touch of the one-touch buttons, the intended recipient will receive an email with the document in PDF format attached. Life can’t get any easier.
